Hi Yealey Families,
We have had a great week at Yealey - Lots of learning happening everywhere. Fifth grade has had another amazing trip to Tremont, TN. Please check social media to see all the great pics. Fourth grade visited the Behringer Crawford Museum and had a great trip. The children were very excited to tell me about some of the awesome things they saw on that trip.
Next week is spring break. We return to school on the 15th. When we get back there will be lots of fun and important activities taking place. Be sure to check your child's folders, the blog calendar, and the website for information about all these events. One of these that I want to be sure you hear about is our Leader In Me Parent Night. This will be held on April 25th. Information about specifics for your child will come from the classroom teacher. I really hope everyone can attend.
On April 25th PTA will be holding their yearly elections. We have several very important parent positions open. The PTA board will have openings so, please email jamie.yealeypta@gmail.com to let her know if you're interested. We also have two seats on our site base council as well as a minority parent seat open. If you're interested in running for site base, please send me an email with a short bio about yourself and why you'd like to serve on site base.
